Hospital Aide – Women+ Team – Launceston General Hospital
Overview
The Women+ team delivers a range of services at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH), working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, high‐quality, and patient‐centred care.
The Role
The Ward Aide supports nursing, midwifery and clinical staff by assisting with non‐clinical ward duties. The role helps ensure a safe, clean, and well‐organised environment for patients, staff, and visitors, while following infection prevention and hospital policies.
You will need
* Demonstrated knowledge of the standards required to prevent infection.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and the public.
* Ability and willingness to work as part of a team in promoting a harmonious work environment.
* Ability to monitor ward/unit stock and stores, ordering when appropriate.
Appointment Details
* Permanent, part‐time shift worker position.
* 24 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team.
* Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
* For a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full‐time, part‐time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$57,130 to $62,486 per annum (pro‐rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
