Database Specialist
The database specialist will be responsible for the maintenance and development of databases within the cardiac department and individual surgeons.
* Maintain existing databases to ensure integrity and accuracy.
* Develop new databases to meet the evolving needs of the department.
* Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure effective data management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. They will also possess intermediate knowledge of coding in Python or R and proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Access, and internet search functions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and maintaining databases for the cardiac department and individual surgeons.
* Ensuring data accuracy and integrity through regular audits and benchmarking.
* Supporting the active clinical research programme by providing timely and accurate data.
