Can build positive relationships with clients and their families.
Care about assisting our aged community members to live independently at home for longer.
Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.
In Addition, You Will Need
An open Australian driver's licence and your own insured, road-worthy vehicle.
3 months or more in a similar role.
Working With Vulnerable People Card (WWVP).
Role Responsibilities
In the role of Home Care Worker, you will provide our aged care clients with home help services and personal care services. Responsibilities include:
General housekeeping and making beds.
Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
Assisting clients with mobility and therapy goals.
Providing complex care for clients with high care needs, such as dementia.
Providing social and emotional support.
Transporting clients to lifestyle activities or appointments.
Helping the family carer to take a break or attend to other tasks.
