The location and Lifestyle
The Company’s principal place of business is located only 500m from the Mt Carbine township on the Mulligan Highway central to Mossman, Port Douglas, Mareeba, Julatten and Mt Molloy. Mt Carbine has a rich history of tungsten production and is strategically and conveniently located only 75k kms from beautiful Port Douglas in Far North Queensland. For those with families there is a choice of private and public schools, as well as universities and technical education facilities in the area.
About the Role
We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Multi-Skilled Truck Operators to join our Mt Carbine team. Our fleet involves, but is not limited to:
- Excavators: CAT 395 90T, Hitachi 36/50T, Kobelco 50T and Volvo 38T
- Grader: CAT 14M/H
- Articulated dump trucks: Bell B50D/E, Volvo A60H/A45G, CAT 745 Water Truck
- Loaders: CAT 950M/962K/972H/980M
The positions require certain physical demands and exposure to challenging environments that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, work at heights and other exertions associated with manual roles as well as a strong commitment to safety while working in an operational mine site environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-starts on every bit of equipment operated
- Operate machinery efficiently and safely
- Reporting to the mining foreman
- High housekeeping standard

Key Selection Criteria
- Experience operating machinery outlined above
- Safety focused with a high attention to detail
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the Company
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
- Highly organized with strong time management and communications skills to manage competing and/or changing priorities
- A can do attitude and team player
- Queensland Heavy Rigid (HR) (Desirable)
Additional Requirements for Working at Mt Carbine Mine
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Australian Criminal History Check
- Required to live within 100kms of Mt Carbine Mine. This position is DIDO
