Overview
Wurli-Wurlinjang Health Service (WWHS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation that provides primary health care and community services in a culturally safe, welcoming, and respectful environment. WWHS operates several clinics, including the Main Clinic (acute and general care), Gudbinji Chronic Disease Clinic, Binjari Health Centre, Women and Children's Health, Men's Health, and a Dental Clinic. Community Services programs emphasize early intervention, treatment, and management through integrated primary health care. These programs address key social determinants of health and Closing the Gap priorities, including wellbeing, housing stability, Strongbala Justice, addiction, and domestic and family violence. The Mental Health Professional provides high-quality, culturally responsive clinical mental health services within a primary health care setting.
Key responsibilities include assessment, counselling, brief interventions, and participation in shared care and care team meetings with internal and external providers. The role also supports coordinated care planning for clients and families with complex needs. This position requires sound clinical judgement, strong engagement skills, and an understanding of community dynamics, intergenerational trauma, and the ongoing impacts of colonisation. Practice is strengths-based and trauma-informed, supporting safety, healing, and improved outcomes.

Position requirements
* Qualifications / Prerequisites:
o Degree in Psychology; Mental Health or Social Work
o Master's degree in psychology; Mental Health or Social Work
o National Police Records Check and Working with Children's Clearance
o Current Northern Territory Driver's License
