**About the company**
We are looking for a Foreman experienced in concreting and formwork to join a highly successful concrete business in the ACT. They provide specialised formwork, REO, Concrete, Civil and Project Management services to commercial government, and T1, T2 and T3 builders both locally and regionally.
**About the role**
You will be responsible to ensure the successful execution of construction projects with a strong focus on safety, quality, cost effectiveness and adherence to legal compliance.
**Key Responsibilities for the role**
- Construct jobs from the ground level to hand over including formwork, REO pods and mesh, and concrete. With concrete placement and finish to a high standard.
- Lead, mentor and support site teams to be able to deliver scope of works, carry out toolbox talks and ensure pre starts done on machinery daily.
- Utilise procure to its full potential reporting on all stages of the project including any impacts on time, cost or quality.
- Safety awareness and ability to identify risks or potential hazards and document/report any issues to PM.
**Skills & experience**
- Previous experience in supervising on commercial and civil sites. Knowledge in civil, formwork, REO and concrete desired.
- Ability to read and interpret technical plans and drawings with a good attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Experience with initiating best practice/methodologies to ensure completion of projects. Sound understanding of relevant codes, standards, specifications and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, customer relations and advanced time management skills with an ability to perform calmly under pressure.
- Relevant building qualifications, white card, asbestos awareness, silica certificate and a valid driver's licence.
