The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Diesel Mechanic to join the team at Recar Townsville
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will learn how to diagnose and repair mechanical faults on diesel engines and perform quality control and inspection of trucks.
Role responsibilities
* Perform inspections and complete damage reports as per company procedures
* Carry out mechanic diagnosis, repair and replacements as required
* Perform repairs and refurbishing of recycled parts to required quality standards
* Ensure no vehicle or component is ever refitted or supplied if not safe to do so
* Upon request carry out minor/small repairs as per Job Sheet
You will be required to:
* Follow all safety policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate PPE is worn at all times
* Handle all company tools and equipment with due care and attention ensuring they remain safe, clean and in a workable condition
* Complete all course theory work by the due date as required
