We are currently looking for a skilled Territory Manager to join our team based in Melbourne to partner with our valued Clients in the DIY (Hardware Retail) segment to help drive sales and business growth of their products in a highly competitive market. You will be a strategic and operationally minded professional, responsible for field operations in the South East Melbourne region, calling on Bunnings & Independent Hardware retailers, whilst also managing a team of merchandisers. Key functions of the role include:
Lead and manage a team of merchandisers servicing Bunnings and independent Hardware outlets Ensuring your team are motivated and engaged via effective communication and regular feedback Awareness of the current major retailer environment Implement the agreed customer plan through field operations Project management and attention to detail Efficient communication with all levels of stakeholders Ensure territory call rates meet targets. Key Selection Criteria:
Retail/Sales/Territory Management experience Evidence of managing projects, sales budgets and strategic planning Experience in Territory/ Store based profitability management Customer relationship management Excellent communication skills Strong people management and coaching abilities Strong understanding of KPIS and their impact on the business, as well as the ability to strategically drive this with all teams The ability to drive a positive culture & one team environment Self-motivated & strong communicator The successful candidate has the potential to progress their career beyond this role through coaching and mentoring from senior managers.
