About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the pre-opening setup of Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you'll assist in the successful day-to-day running of the Accounts Department.
Some key responsibilities include:
* Assisting with the finalisation of hotel policies and procedures.
* Maintaining and updating the Accounts Receivable ledger.
* Reconciliation and following up with all received credit card payments, including processing refund requests.
* Uploading bank transfer files for payment processing.
* Reviewing daily revenue and making corrections as needed.
* Processing and coding daily invoices.
* Assisting with preparing month end inventory balances, pre-payment schedules, open purchase order review and analysis of costs.
What You Will Bring to the Role:
- A degree in accounting or finance is essential.
- Previous experience in a hotel accounting environment is preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
