Providing specialist, evidence‐based psychological care to support NICU parents, families and carers through complexity, recovery and hope.

Join a dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team and make a meaningful difference by supporting parents, families and carers during one of the most critical and emotionally complex periods of their lives.
* Deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, case formulation and evidence‐based interventions for NICU parents, families and carers, using individual, family and group approaches.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health care team to provide integrated, family‐centred mental health care.
* Contribute to research activities and the evaluation of clinical outcomes to support continuous service improvement.
* Assist in the development and delivery of education and training programs across the service.
* Provide professional supervision to psychologists and support other clinical disciplines across the District in line with organisational needs.
Are You the Right Fit?
You are an experienced and compassionate Female Clinical Psychologist who is motivated to deliver high‐quality psychological care within a complex, family‐centred NICU environment.
* Demonstrated experience providing specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, case formulation and evidence‐based interventions.
* Confidence delivering therapy to parents, families and carers using individual, family and group modalities.
* Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health care team supporting infants and their families.
* Experience or interest in research participation, outcome evaluation, and contributing to education and training initiatives.
* Capacity to provide professional supervision to psychologists and support other clinical disciplines across the Local Health District.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
* Full Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology (Masters, and/or Doctorate or PhD) qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognized equivalent.
* Being female is recognised as a genuine occupation qualification and is authorised under section 31(2h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
* Experience in working with individuals/parents/families/carers experiencing severe and complex psychosocial and mental health difficulties.
* Demonstrated competence and experience in a wide range of psychological assessment procedures, diagnosis and evidence based psychological interventions delivered to individuals, groups, and families.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes
