Wellbeing Services for Elderly Residents

As a wellbeing services employee, you will be responsible for planning and implementing programs and activities that enhance the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents.
The role involves creating engaging and meaningful activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of the residents while ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
You will provide experiences that enhance our residents' wellbeing and overall quality of life, truly making a difference in their lives.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitating a range of onsite activities such as bingo, floor bowls, craft and special events
* Developing and planning a range of social, recreational and cultural activities
* Assisting residents on bus trips and community outings
* Supporting resident participation and offering warm companionship
* Ensuring residents' needs, values and spiritual values and cultural preferences are taken into account
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Aging Support, or equivalent qualification
* Initiative and creative flair
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team and prioritise work
* Ability to put a smile on a resident's face and brighten their day
* A big heart - empathetic and passionate about supporting older Australians to live their best life possible
* Knowledge of the needs of persons living with dementia (desirable)
