The Senior Service Support Officer plays a crucial role in providing high-quality services to young people and families, aiming to divert those at risk of entering the youth justice system. This position involves early intervention and case management in collaboration with key government partners within the Early Action Group and non-government agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct culturally appropriate assessments, planning, and case management for young people and their families.
* Develop and implement programs and services targeting young people at risk of entering the youth justice system.
* Negotiate service response plans with providers, linking clients to necessary formal and informal services, government, and non-government agencies.
* Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and perform data entry for casework and organisational accountability.
* Engage effectively with stakeholders, including families, Elders, community members, agencies, and government departments, to enhance support for young people and families.
* PARTICIPATE as a member of a multi-disciplinary team delivering programs and services to clients.
* CONTRIBUTE to the good governance and objectives of the directorate and department.
