About The Role
As a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner - Outreach, this is your opportunity to contribute to the delivery of robust assessments, crisis response and specialist FV case management services to victim survivors. The role will be in instrumental in delivering high quality, safe and effective family violence and child well-being responses to those seeking support, safety, and recovery.
Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a permanent, full-time role, located in Darwin, Northern Territory.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, level 5.
How You Will Make An Impact

* Effective relationships are established with clients that encourage self-determination and participation and uphold the principles of the National Family Violence Model of Care.
* Specialist FV Case management and crisis support is provided to clients in accordance with TSA case management models and standards of practice
* Ongoing assessment is made of the victim survivor's issues, needs and circumstances from initial intake to exit
* Conduct ongoing family and domestic violence risk assessment and safety planning with clients using agreed tools
* Individual case plans are developed in collaboration with victim survivors and include a range of interventions that address the needs or goals of clients
* Case plans are implemented and actively led by the victim survivor
What You Will Bring
* A tertiary qualification in Social Work is essential.
* Experience working in the family violence sector is desirable.
* Experience in specialist family violence and/ or child wellbeing work is highly desirable
* Demonstrated case management experience and skills
* Highly developed time management and work prioritisation skills with an ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision required
* Advance computer skills including experience in data and record management
* Relevant child protection requirements are obtained for example Working with children check.
* A national police record check is required
* Ability and willingness to be on call
