Your Opportunity 
We have two exciting permanent, part-time (0.5 FTE) positions available to join our Student Support team at TAFE Queensland’s Toowoomba Campus. 
As The Student Support Coach, You Will 
- Provide support and agreed reasonable adjustments to students with a disability in vocational education and training programs delivered in TAFE Queensland. 
- Assist Faculties in achieving increased student retention and completion rates by ensuring the needs of students and clients are met. 
- Undertake a broad range of administrative and record-keeping tasks associated with the work unit. 
This position reports to the Manager, Student Support and Wellbeing. 
Salary 
The part-time (0.5 FTE) salary range for this position at the OO4 classification is $36,228 - $39,643 (gross) per annum.

Mandatory Requirements 
Applicants must possess the following: 
- Current Queensland Driver’s Licence 
- Current Blue Card or Exemption Card to comply with the Working with Children (Risk Management Screening) Act 2000 
- Current Queensland Disability Worker Screening Card 
Highly Desirable 
- Training in/understanding of inclusive education 
- Experience in Student Support Services or Education settings 
- Experience working with diverse student populations with complex needs 
- Proven ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently, ensuring all duties are completed accurately and on time, while maintaining confidentiality and integrity of student information 
- Knowledge of Assistive Technologies and Inclusive Learning Tools 
How You Will Be Assessed 
The ideal applicant will have the following key capabilities: 
- Demonstrate high level planning and organisational skills with the ability to achieve outcomes within identified timeframes while displaying initiative and adaptability in a dynamic environment 
- Knowledge and experience in using word processing, spreadsheets and database applications 
- Experience working as a collaborative and effective team member delivering high levels of service and engaging with students, employers and staff 
- Ability to analyse issues and recommend appropriate action within relevant legislation, guidelines and frameworks 
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to consult, liaise and negotiate 
- Ability to engage effectively with students from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities, providing tailored coaching and support for academic success and equitable access
