York Health Service is seeking a passionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead, plan and review high quality patient care within our Multipurpose Service. Just a short drive from Perth, this Permanent Part Time (0.90FTE, 72 hrs per f/n) role offers the blend of professional autonomy, supportive teamwork and the warmth of a welcoming country town where your impact will be seen and felt every day.

About the OPPORTUNITY

Responsible for the quality of patient care and standard of practice within York Health Service. This incorporates all areas of the MPS including ED, Ambulatory Care, Acute inpatients, residential, Pioneer Memorial Lodge, Community and Outpatients. Acts as a role model for all staff in assessing, planning, implementing, directing and evaluating the care.

To be successful in this role, you will have…

* Advanced nursing practice within the relevant practice setting
* Effective leadership skills within a collegiate/team structure
* Commitment to Quality Improvement and the EQUIP process
* Advanced skills in planning, coordination and decision making within the relevant practice setting
* Knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Work Health and Safety, and how these impact on employment and service delivery
* Possession of a current C or C‐A class drivers licence

Area Profile

The Wheatbelt region spans 155,000 square kilometres, encompassing six Aboriginal lands and language groups.
