Job Description
Spread Joy, by joining our Volunteer Team!
The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Nowra.
We are seeking a Serbian speaking volunteer to spend time with an elderly person in care. Ideally, you will be able to speak Serbian fluently, be able to visit for a cuppa and a chat or, weather permitting, take a walk around the grounds together.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.
Requirements
• 18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30-minute visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday; visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
