Role
Do you want to join our Board of Charity Trustees and help reduce litter and waste, combat climate change, restore nature and biodiversity, and help to protect and enhance the places we all care about? We are looking for people to help us inspire more environmental action and help achieve our ambition for a clean, green, and sustainable country.
At Keep Scotland Beautiful, we support people, organisations, and their communities to improve the quality of their lives, their wellbeing, and their environment.
We provide a wide range of programmes and services including Climate Action Schools, Climate Emergency Training, Spring Clean Scotland, and we undertake environmental auditing and awards, work with communities to explore and protect heritage, as well as working to influence environmental policy.
Charity Trustees set the direction, strategy, and policies for Keep Scotland Beautiful, as well as being responsible for its governance. They provide guidance and support to the Chief Executive and wider team. We need people who want to make a difference, regardless of their background.
We're aiming to broaden the background and skills of our Board of Charity Trustees and ensure that modern Scotland is reflected.
We recognize some gaps and would love to hear from you if you have skills in behaviour change, HR, management (including financial planning, commercialisation, or accountancy).

We are recruiting a Project Manager (Finance). This role is critical, providing financial oversight and control for project budgets and expenditures. The Project Accountant will manage financial aspects of projects, ensure compliance with funding requirements, and support accurate financial reporting. It is a full-time position. About the role
As our Health & Safety Manager, you will develop, implement, and manage our Health & Safety systems. You will act as the organisation’s competent person, providing expert advice and ensuring compliance with legislation including the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
You will monitor legislative changes and industry best practices, regularly review and update policies, and offer practical advice to colleagues. You will develop and deliver training, manage incident reporting processes, and produce reports for senior leadership and Trustees. Travel may be required for this role.
About you
You should hold a NEBOSH qualification or similar, with proven experience managing Health & Safety systems. A strong understanding of relevant legislation and sector-specific considerations is essential. You should be confident in managing incidents, responding effectively, and escalating issues as needed. Excellent analytical, report writing, and communication skills are required. We value diversity and encourage applications from all parts of the community.
