The Casino Food Company is a leading export food processor with production facilities located in Casino and Booyong, near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers area of the NSW Far North Coast.
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Finance team as an Accounts Payable Assistant on a permanent full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with experience within an office or administrative environment; however, entry‑level candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn are strongly encouraged to apply.
In this position, you will work closely with our experienced Accounts Payable team and report to the Financial Controller. You'll receive on‑the‑job training and support while gaining practical experience across a wide range of finance and accounts payable activities in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the processing of supplier invoices through our document management and approval workflow system
* Perform data entry with accuracy and attention to detail
* Assist with weekly and monthly payment runs
* Support the reconciliation of supplier statements
* Respond to supplier enquiries in a professional and timely manner
* Liaise with internal stakeholders across procurement, production, and stores to resolve invoice discrepancies
* Assist with general administrative tasks within the finance team
Qualifications
* Has strong attention to detail and can follow processes accurately
* Is comfortable using computers and willing to learn new systems
* Can work both independently and as part of a team
* Has good communication skills and a positive attitude
* Is organized and reliable, with a desire to grow their skills in finance
Preferred but not essential
* Prior experience in an office or administrative role
* Understanding of accounts payable processes
* Experience with data entry, scanning systems, or document management software
