The Communications Officer will deliver coordinated communications that promote Peel ArtsConnect’s programs, events and advocacy initiatives. This includes producing clear and engaging content for digital platforms, newsletters and promotional materials that reflect Peel’s diverse and vibrant creative landscape.
The role includes overseeing media and public relations activities, such as preparing press releases, coordinating interviews and developing media resources. You will also manage digital channels, maintaining content schedules, monitoring performance and refining audience engagement to increase visibility and reach.
Inclusive and culturally sensitive storytelling is central to this position. You will ensure communications represent Peel’s Indigenous, multicultural, and emerging arts communities and work in collaboration with artists and cultural leaders to support and amplify community‑led initiatives.
By monitoring audience response and public perception, you will help guide messaging and outreach, ensuring Peel ArtsConnect remains accessible, relevant and responsive. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of Peel’s cultural landscape and a demonstrated ability to communicate thoughtfully and effectively.
