What you will doContribute to executive support for the Chair, Board and CEO for external engagement, including identifying priority issues and coordinating briefing material and advice.Provide advice and support to other areas of the ACCC about best practice stakeholder engagement to promote proactive engagement with government, industry and consumer groups to achieve strategic objectives.Engage and coordinate with internal stakeholders to support external facing obligations and engagements, including participation in parliamentary processes (such as Senate Estimates and Inquiries).
Work with staff across the agency to improve access to consumer insights (panels, focus groups, etc.), including leading secretariat support for the Customer Consultative Group.
About you / QualificationsWell-developed understanding or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of the energy sector, and understanding of the role, purpose and objectives of the ACCC/AER.Strong communication skills, including transparent oral and written communication.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and competing priorities.Experience in stakeholder engagement, including contributing to engagement activities and plans.Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public policy, government, law, economics or related fields are highly desired.
