Job Description
As the Prototyping Engineering Manager of PW-A you will report to the PW-A Engineering Manager. Your role will be to lead a team of software and system engineers, support the team to execute projects effectively and efficiently, and to achieve PW-A strategic objectives. The role is based in Brisbane.
Responsibilities
Lead the PW-A Prototype team; approve technical approaches, products, and processes
Develop and execute project and process plans; implement policies and procedures; set operational goals
Secure resources, manage suppliers, and drive process improvements
Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and identify training needs
Build and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and team members
Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture; model Boeing values and uphold psychological safety, accountability, and open communication
Experience / Qualifications
8+ years in complex aerospace/defence technical development and integration
Degree in Aerospace, Avionics, Software, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent)
Project leadership: assign responsibilities and direct activities/resources for non-management staff
Project scheduling/resource management: develop schedules with milestones and resource needs
Budget management: knowledge of budgeting principles
Risk/Opportunity/Issues management: understanding and application
Demonstrated experience in systems and software development lifecycle (essential)
Familiarity with engineering change processes
Autonomous Systems experience (highly regarded)
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
