About the role:
An exciting opportunity is available for a self-motivated Accounts payable / Payroll officer to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis for the right candidate.
Working with the Management Team you will have the opportunity to develop professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
• Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices
• Match purchase orders, delivery dockets and invoices
• Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate accounts payable and filing records
• Respond to internal and supplier enquiries professionally
Payroll
• Prepare and process weekly payroll
• Maintain employee records including new starters, terminations and changes
• Ensure compliance with awards, Fair Work requirements and employment legislation
• Process leave, superannuation, deductions and allowances
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare payroll summaries and support finance reporting
Skills and experience:
Previous experience using payroll software such as NetSuite, MYOB or Xero cashbook in an accounts payable position.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent communication and time management skills to work towards deadlines
Competent in Microsoft Office applications
Positive can do attitude
