About the Role
At Leidos Australia, our Matrix Engineering Team is a hub of technical excellence, supporting mission‐critical programs across Defence, Intelligence, and Federal Government portfolios.
Responsibilities
* Manage and optimize VMware vCenter, ESXi clusters, vSAN, and related technologies.
* Translate customer requirements into detailed designs and supporting services for complex PaaS solutions.
* Develop and maintain automation for provisioning and orchestration using Ansible/Terraform; create reusable IaC modules and templates.
* Automate vCenter operations such as VM provisioning, patching, compliance, and policy enforcement.
* Produce technical documentation and provide subject matter expertise to resolve complex technical issues.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience with VMware VCF solutions, plus integration with networks and other services.
* Demonstrated experience in both programming and infrastructure, with proficiency in automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server (2012–2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and DFS.
* Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and ITIL Foundation.
* Experience with enterprise‐level backup products and storage technologies.
