General Practitioner
Location: Tieri, Queensland
Employment Type: Permanent – Full-Time (3-year contract)
Salary: $9,500 per week

Working Hours:Mon – Fri, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Practice Information: The medical practice is a solo GP practice, operating for over 13 years.
Approximately 70% of the workload is general practice; the doctor sees about 20 patients per day.
The practice employs a full-time physiotherapist and a full-time registered nurse.
Referral to specialists is available and experienced doctors provide supervision when required.
Facilities include pathology collection, sterilisation equipment, a slit lamp, stress-test machine, audiology and spirometry equipment.
Patients are mainly mine workers and their families, though the practice also serves surrounding farming communities.
Position Description: Treat patients with general practice presentations and conduct mine-worker medicals.
You will work with a team of receptionists, a registered nurse, allied health staff, and a long-term practice manager.
Position Requirements:
General practice experience is essential
Experience in occupational health is preferred
Emergency response experience will be looked upon favourably

About Tieri: Tieri is a small, friendly mining town three hours west of Mackay and Rockhampton and an hour's drive from Emerald.
The local population is about 1,500, with the Oaky Creek Coal Mine and surrounding mines as the main employers.
Community facilities include an Olympic-size swimming pool, recreation centre, gym, squash and cricket courts, skate park, BMX track, café, Foodworks, post office, pharmacy, and a golf course.
The nearest high school is in Capella, 30 minutes by bus or car.
