What you will be Doing
WorkPac are currently seeking Conditioning Monitoring Technicians for a mine site in the Pilbara. You will be required to have experience and be responsible for:
* Monitoring the health of fixed plant equipment using oil analysis and vibration techniques.
* Collecting and analysing machinery vibration data to assess equipment condition and recommend corrective actions.
* Performing non-routine inspections, ultrasonic testing, and thickness testing.
* Supporting acceptance testing for newly installed equipment.
* Collaborating with reliability engineers, maintenance, and production teams to align condition monitoring with broader maintenance strategies.
* Inspecting dismantled parts and correlating findings with analysis results.
* Applying advanced techniques such as phase analysis, impact testing, and ODS to resolve complex vibration issues.
* Ensuring all work complies with Rio Tinto's safety systems and relevant regulations.
What you will need
* Mechanical Trade qualification and/or background in reliability engineering.
* Australian "C" Class manual driver's licence.
* Level 1 & 2 Certification in Vibration Analysis.
* Experience in root cause analysis and machine failure investigation.
* Familiarity with SAP or similar CMMS systems.
* A proactive and flexible approach to changing workloads.
* Ability to work in very hot and extremely remote environments
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
* Current Drivers Licence & right to work in Australia
