About the role
We are seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to deliver a comprehensive healthcheck on a high-transactional Db2 v11.5 environment (HACMP on AIX). You'll diagnose performance issues, recommend improvements, and collaborate with application specialists to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct a full healthcheck on a production Db2 instance with multiple databases.
* Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks and table reorganisation needs.
* Collaborate with WebSphere and Java application experts to diagnose and address system issues.
* Deliver actionable recommendations to enhance database performance and reliability.
Required Experience
* Minimum 10 years' hands-on experience with IBM Db2.
* Proven track record in producing and executing Db2 healthchecks in enterprise environments.
* Experience with HACMP on AIX.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in high-transactional settings.
* Ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
