Role Description
Heathcote Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Enrolled Nurse to join our Residential Aged Care Unit (RACU). This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high‑quality, person‑centred care and to support a positive environment for residents, families and staff.
As an Enrolled Nurse at Heathcote Health, you will provide safe, effective and evidence‑based nursing care to residents while supporting the overall quality and performance of the RACU. Working under the delegation of the Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessment, observation, care planning and communication, ensuring residents receive holistic, person‑centred care.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality nursing care to residents in accordance with best practice
* Support optimal care quality and contribute to the smooth operational performance of the RACU
* Assist with policy and procedure development and review
* Align practice with the organisation's Strategic and Business Plans, and relevant government strategies
* Facilitate exceptional care through assessment, observation and evaluation of residents
* Provide care that is holistic, respectful, and person‑centred
* Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and guidelines, applying them to practice
* Implement clinical interventions as delegated by the RN and justify practice using evidence‑based principles
* Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to support coordinated care
* Build and maintain strong communication with residents and their families to support care planning and delivery
* Practice according to ANCI professional codes and standards as they apply to Enrolled Nurses
* Administer medications in accordance with the Drugs and Poisons Act (
* Participate in ongoing professional development, including mandatory annual training
* Complete annual medication competency assessment
* Participate in the annual performance review and development process
About you
* Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
* Endorsement for medication administration
* A commitment to person‑centred care and evidence‑based practice
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work all shifts, including nights and weekends
