About the Role
We are seeking a casual Kitchen Hand who is motivated, passionate and driven by working in a fast‐paced kitchen. In this hands‐on role, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including thorough cleaning of equipment, surfaces, and food preparation areas. This role also provides support to Chefs with food preparation tasks as needed to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
The Kitchen Hand will be based predominantly in the Eureka 89 kitchen and will spend large periods of time on their feet, be exposed to heating elements, work in tight confined spaces, and wet/slippery environments. The shifts may involve irregular hours and extended working periods. They will also be required to lift and move stock weighing up to 20 kg, as well as conduct repetitive actions in line with normal culinary duties.
You may be required to work any of the seven days of the calendar week and gazetted public holidays. A standard working day can consist of up to 10 working hours, within the hours of 07:00 hrs and 01:00 hrs.

Requirements Education/Experience
* Food Handling Safety Certificate (essential, or willing to obtain upon commencement)
* Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, with previous Kitchen hand experience
* Provide First Aid (preferred)

* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
* Proven ability to work autonomously and part of a team
* Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills, with high fluency in English
