What We Do:
We provide industry-leading resident care and services, enabling residents to remain independent in a safe workplace. Our Personal Carer & Engagement Worker (PCEW) or Lifestyle Assistant supports elderly residents, their families, and colleagues across various shifts.
About This Role:
This role is based at Edge Hill in Cairns and involves working closely with the nursing and resident engagement teams to perform resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner. The attached position description outlines the duties and accountabilities for this role.
About You:
We hire individuals who are empathic, have a strong work ethic, and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of the elderly. Ideally, you have worked in the Aged Care sector for at least 1 year and possess effective communication skills, the ability to think on your feet, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and coworkers.
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) is desirable but not essential for this role. Alternatively, a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health is also eligible.
* NDIS Workers Screening Clearance is mandatory for this role, which can be obtained if you do not already hold it.
* Excellent safety awareness is required to prevent accidents and injuries among residents.
* A positive teamwork attitude, excellent time management, and adherence to strict safety procedures are necessary for maintaining a high standard of workplace safety.
* A passion for delivering quality care services and a willingness to help our organization achieve its goals are essential.
* A confident and engaging personality is required to encourage residents to participate in lifestyle and group activities.
