THE ROLE
Our staff are the foundation of our organisation and we are looking for a HR Advisor who shares our values and is passionate about contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace.
This important role will be responsible for delivering day‑to‑day HR advice and coaching to WSSSA managers and employees. It covers the full employee lifecycle and the delivery of HR and recruitment initiatives from the moment a vacancy is approved through to onboarding and beyond by providing:
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on day‑to‑day HR issues.
- Oversee performance management processes, conflict resolution, conduct investigations and ensure fairness and due process.
- Lead the end‑to‑end recruitment process, aligning with organisational values and workforce needs.
- Oversee and deliver HR reporting, analytics and compliance activities.
This is a part‑time position working between 0.6–0.8 FTE (22.5–30 hours per week). Initially offered on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
ABOUT YOU
To succeed in this exciting and busy role you will need 3 years of experience in a generalist HR advisory role as well as:
- Strong working knowledge and application of HR legislation and policies (Fair Work Act, EEO, etc.) with the ability to interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements and other industrial agreements.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- A proactive, professional and customer‑focused approach with the ability to coach, mediate and negotiate effective outcomes.
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources and/or related experience commensurate with the position.
- A current driver’s licence and be eligible for or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
