THE ROLE
Exclusive chance for a Mechanical Fitter to join our production team. You will be working Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm + Overtime. Weekend work available.
Your role is responsible for providing effective support in the preventative maintenance and repair of the production line, ensuring the achievement of factory production targets.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Fitter will form part of the maintenance team and will be responsible for:
- Carrying out preventative and scheduled maintenance on all mechanical machinery within the factory.
- Ensuring all relevant procedures & safe work method statements are filled out before maintenance tasks commence.
- Experience with any of the following would be highly advantageous: welding (MIG, TIG)
- Understanding on Condition monitoring and use of maintenance monitoring system SAP.
- Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory.
- Adhere to safe work practices and take steps to identify hazards and report incidents.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- A hands-on attitude, problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both autonomously & as part of a supportive team.
