Role Summary
Network Technical Specialist – Enterprise Network Management (ENM) – Melbourne / Sydney
Compensation: AUD 90,243–98,861 Annual Gross (indicative)

Key Responsibilities
* Own the full lifecycle of incidents, service requests, problems, and changes, ensuring resolution and closure while maintaining SLA compliance.
* Deliver proactive and reactive network support, anticipating failures and responding decisively to incidents.
* Represent the team in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, contributing technical expertise to risk assessment and approvals.
* Coordinate with vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.) to manage escalations and resolve hardware and software issues.
* Engage proactively with customers across voice and digital channels, communicating updates clearly and professionally.
* Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and foster continuous improvement.
* Assess customer IT environments, recommend enhancements, and propose solutions aligned with business objectives.
* Develop and implement strategies to enhance performance, resilience, scalability, and maintainability of managed network environments.
* Ensure alignment with organisational goals, enterprise architecture, and compliance frameworks.
* Produce and maintain high‐quality technical documentation following industry standards.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate new knowledge into practices.
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in network and infrastructure engineering, with enterprise‐level experience.
* At least 3 years of customer‐facing technical support in NOC, managed services, or similar environment.
* Hands‐on expertise in Routing, Switching, SD‐WAN, Network Security, and Infrastructure management.
* Experience troubleshooting IP VPN services, connectivity, routing, and performance issues.
* Skill diagnosing faults across Fiber, Copper, and Dark Fiber networks.
* Experience with mobile / radio network faults impacting service availability.
* Proficiency with Cisco and Juniper routers and network devices.
* Ability to isolate faults, perform escalation, and restore services within agreed SLAs.
* Exposure to leading vendor technologies: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Meraki, Microsoft, F5, Linux, VMware, Netscaler, Fortigate, Velocloud, Solarwinds, ServiceCentral, Magpie, Splunk, Merge.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in a Telco or ISP environment.
* Exposure to network automation tools and scripting languages such as Python and Ansible.
* Experience supporting Australian government or public sector environments.
* Involvement in large‐scale network transformation, migration, or modernisation projects.
* Knowledge of Cloud networking concepts on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
* Industry certifications: CCNP, JNCIP, Fortinet NSE, or ITIL Foundation.
