About the Role
The Mount Isa Hospital Department of Anaesthetics offers a dynamic and supportive work environment, with 3 operating theatres and a 5-bed Intensive Care Unit/High Dependency Unit. Procedures are performed in both adults and children, covering various specialities including general surgery, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, acute trauma, obstetrics and gynaecology, and dental services.
As a Provisional Senior Medical Officer, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience as a medical professional in a region that values innovation and excellence.
Key Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* A relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
* Completed the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) Rural Generalist Anaesthesia (RGA) training program and be eligible for award of the qualification in RGA on completion of the primary fellowship.
* A Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
* Undergone pre-employment screening, including Criminal History checks.
* Been vaccinated or shown immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
* Been subject to a period of probation.
