ABOUT THE ROLE This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Wills & Estates practitioner to step into a senior leadership role within a growing practice. You will manage a diverse portfolio spanning estate planning, complex estate administration, trust disputes and litigation, while mentoring junior lawyers and contributing strategically to the development of the team. The role offers meaningful, relationship-driven work, particularly in sensitive and high-value matters, with autonomy to manage files and shape client strategy. You will: Advise on wills, powers of attorney and comprehensive succession planning Manage probate and Letters of Administration applications and complex estate administration matters Act in estate litigation matters, including Part IV claims, caveat disputes and executor removal applications Handle VCAT administration and guardianship matters Advise on and manage trust disputes Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and support staff Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the practice ABOUT YOU You will have: At least 10 years' post-admission experience in Wills & Estates Strong technical expertise across both advisory and contentious estate matters Excellent drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills Experience supervising and mentoring junior practitioners A proactive and detail-oriented approach to file management A compassionate and client-focused mindset when handling sensitive matters Strong verbal and written communication skills The ambition and capability to contribute to business development initiatives BENEFITS Senior-level autonomy with meaningful strategic input Diverse and intellectually engaging matters Supportive and collaborative team culture Clear pathway for further leadership and practice growth
