Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated AM/PM Forklift Operator who is also skilled in forklift operations to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist the Morning & Afternoon shift operations and actively participate in loading trucks using a forklift. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in logistics, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in a temperature-controlled environment (0 to 4 degrees Celsius).
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
* Load and unload trucks with a forklift, optimizing space utilization and ensuring compliance with loading requirements.
* Maintain workflow and productivity.
* Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed, addressing any safety concerns promptly.
* Perform daily equipment inspections to verify forklifts are in proper working condition.
* Maintain accurate records of shift activities, inventory levels, and incident reports.
* Carton pick/pack
What We're Looking For:
* A current forklift license.
* Experience in refrigerated transport (required).
* Previous supervisory experience in a logistics or transport environment (preferred).
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to read load plans and manifests.
* Proven experience loading refrigerated rigid trucks and trailers.
* Reliability, punctuality, and a positive work ethic.
* Ability to work to deadlines and follow established procedures.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* A "can-do" attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
Job Type and Category:
* Casual role with the opportunity to transition to permanent full-time after a 6-month probation period.
* Salary: $39.50 to $42.50.
* AM-PM Shift: 5AM - 1PM & 3 PM – 11 PM, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for weekend work.
