Job Summary
The Inventory Management Specialist oversees the day-to-day stock purchasing process, ensuring timely delivery and efficient stock management for trade counter, warehouse, and commercial project orders.
Key responsibilities include coordinating project-specific procurement, ensuring timely delivery, managing ongoing cycle counts, and participating in the annual stocktake. They also monitor stock levels to meet customer demand without excessive overstocking, prepare and maintain inventory and purchasing reports, and analyse inventory performance to identify discrepancies or risks.
Liaising with suppliers, warehouse team, and sales staff ensures smooth stock flow. The Inventory Management Specialist may also assist the team where required, including greeting customers when on the trade counter, and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with procedures.
