Job Description
We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager, a key leadership role within our organisation. The position is responsible for building, leading and optimising our supply chain to support the transition from R&D to manufacturing.
About The Role
The Supply Chain Manager will balance hands-on procurement activities with strategic supply chain leadership, ensuring resilient material supply, qualified vendors, and strong relationships with contract manufacturers and key suppliers.
* Strategic Supply Chain Leadership: Develop and implement supply chain strategy aligned with our growth and manufacturing plans.
* Contract and Relationships: Establish and maintain strategic relationships with contract manufacturers, key material suppliers, and logistics partners.
* Governance: Report supply chain risks, issues, and opportunities to the Leadership Team.
* Procurement & Sourcing: Lead vendor qualification, selection, and onboarding processes, ensuring quality, compliance, and risk management.
* Commercials: Negotiate commercial agreements, supply contracts, and long-term strategic partnerships.
* Policy and Systems: Mature procurement policies, systems, and processes.
* ERP Planning: Plan ongoing ERP enhancements (Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations).
* Ethical Practices: Ensure competitive, ethical, and transparent procurement practices.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management or a related field; advanced degree (e.g. MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management) preferred.
* Minimum 10 years' experience in supply chain management and/or operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Ability to lead and optimise supply chain operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
* Proficiency in the use of ERP systems (D365 F&O preferable) and data analysis tools.
* Strategic thinking, risk identification and mitigation to align the supply chain with business objectives.
