Family Health Specialist
We are seeking a Family Health Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, family-focused health services to families with children from birth to 6 years of age.
The role involves delivering health promotion through evidence-based education and information relating to parenting, breastfeeding, early learning, nutrition, and immunization. You will also contribute to quality improvement and research projects within the Family, Youth and Children's unit.
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and other professionals. You must have current registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse and a registered midwife, and a recognised postgraduate Maternal and Child Health qualification for employment in Victoria.
* Key responsibilities:
* Provide flexible, family-focused service to maximise the health potential of all children from birth to 6 years of age and their families.
* Ensure high-quality evidence-based practice with a focus on strengthening parenting capacity and empowering families to make optimal decisions related to their children's health and development.
* Deliver health promotion through evidence-based education and information relating to all aspects of parenting.
* Contribute to relevant quality improvement and research projects within the Family, Youth and Children's unit.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
