Service Lead – Disability Services - Rockhampton
Salary: $44.58 - $47.97 an hour, with generous salary packaging to boost take-home pay
About the role:
The Service Lead – Disability Services provides frontline leadership and coordination of a geographically based disability support team. The role ensures the delivery of safe, person-centred and compliant services through effective coordination of support planning, workforce scheduling and incident response activities.
The role is accountable for participant outcomes, team performance and the promotion of local disability services. Services are delivered by Support Workers to participants living in the community under the NDIS framework.
The primary objectives of the role include:
* Lead a team of Support Workers delivering disability support services;
* Direct service promotion to support the growth and sustainability of the program and support the achievement of team KPI and budget targets;
* Support workforce scheduling and the delivery of high-quality, goal-directed client services;
* Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, HSQF and relevant organisational policies;
* Coordinate participant intake, onboarding and support planning processes; and
* Oversee development and review of participant support plans, service agreements and budget utilisation.
What we are looking for:
* Minimum of five (5) years' experience in community care services, including care planning, service rostering and team supervision; and
* Current Driver's license (QLD).
* Willingness to participate in on-call or escalation processes; and
* Flexibility to travel locally within the designated region
* Qualifications in Community Services, Health, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent experience.
Core Competencies
* Demonstrated leadership and coordination capability in the delivery of disability support services, with the ability to lead and manage service teams effectively
* Strong understanding of NDIS funding models, service agreements and compliance requirements;
* Proven ability to deliver and monitor supports aligned with participant goals and individual needs;
* Ability to coach and guide teams to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred supports;
* High level attention to detail in overseeing service logistics and rostering to ensure operational efficiency and continuity of supports;
* Ability to interpret and apply the NDIS Practice Standards and regulatory frameworks
* Demonstrated ability to promote services and convert prospective participant enquiries into active service agreements;
* Commitment to continuous improvement and enhancing participant outcomes; and
* Demonstrated integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive participant information, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.
