About the Role
Permanent 0.8 FTE position commencing ASAP, comprised of:
* 0.6 teaching load: Science across Years 7‐10
* 0.2 allocation: Lab Technician
You will teach engaging, curriculum‐aligned lessons and also support the safe setup, organisation and smooth running of practical Science.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Science lessons
* Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities and learning needs
* Assess and report on student progress and provide timely feedback
* Foster positive student engagement and classroom culture
* Coordinate the Science lab including equipment/resource management and safe practical procedures
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Education
* Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
* Experience teaching Science across Years 7‐10 (or strong capability to do so)
* Confidence supporting practical Science and lab organisation
* Strong relationship‐building and classroom management skills
* A willingness to work within a faith‐based school environment (open to applicants from all backgrounds)
