About the Role
As a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME), you will be responsible for performing and certifying maintenance, repair tasks in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
Main tasks and responsibilities of the role will include:
- Perform, supervise and certify aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved data
- Certify aircraft maintenance tasks within the scope of B1 Licence and company authorisations
- Communicating any significant aircraft defects or AOG to Supervisor and Base Maintenance Coordinators
- Taking the lead in business improvement initiatives
- Managing and organising daily tasks in a protected and efficient manner
- Demonstrating technical knowledge through independently solving technical problems
- Effectively supervising and directing others
- Demonstrating effective communication skills within internal departments and own team, resulting in safe and efficient operations
- Conducting routine pre-flight inspections of engines, aircraft frames, and mechanical systems
- Maintaining detailed records of inspection and repair activities
- Assisting with investigations, reviewing serious accidents and implementing corrective actions
- Ensuring adherence to safety instructions from supervisor at all times
- Attending all scheduled training to ensure compliance to MOE
Qualifications and Experience
- B1 CASA pt 66 licence (unrestricted)
- B737 NG and OR A320 NEO/CEO type rated
- 5+ years’ experience in Mechanical in a Line or Base Maintenance environment
- Experience working within a Safety Management System
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Proven organisational and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Customer focused
- Demonstrated knowledge of PART 145 regulatory framework
- Resourceful and lateral thinking
