Description
Reporting to the IT Project Manager, as the IT Support Officer you will be responsible for supporting the business with all usual activities and escalation tasks, end user engagement, and oversee daily IT support operations for the Eva project.
Responsibilities
* Providing first/second level support/technical advice to users Hardware and software.
* Resolving client problems and queries in an effective and timely manner.
* Ensuring all users know the current status of their individual problems.
* Monitoring all problems reported to the Helpdesk.
* Liaising effectively with Suppliers.
* Involved in Project Works.
* Logging and keeping current all problems via a Problem Management System.
* Producing records reflecting Helpdesk and job stream statistics in a timely manner and monitoring call volumes to
* avert potential escalation problems.
* Liaising with Infrastructure team regarding the progress of their action on assigned problems.
* Creating, coordinating and updating of documentation.
* Keeping Management aware of potential areas for product enhancement and educational requirements. Liaising with Managers/Supervisors regarding potential problems.
Roster:
This role will be based onsite in Cloncurry which offers FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville or DIDO locally, with local candidates highly regarded. Our roster is 8 days on, 6 days off.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should be self-motivated and able to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team environment holding the following qualifications and experience:
* Solid technical knowledge of desktop hardware and both standard and customised software
* Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
* Advanced use of Micorosoft 365 and an understanding on Microsoft Windows 10 & 11
* Ability to manage and prioritise tasks related to importance
* Sound knowledge of the organisations Standard Operating Environment Attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong planning and organising skills.
