We are currently supporting the delivery of a major grade separation and transport infrastructure program in metropolitan Adelaide. This multi-year initiative is part of a broader strategic investment in the state's transport network and involves the removal of high-traffic level crossings, improvements to key intersections, and upgrades to active transport and public transit infrastructure.


The Opportunity

As part of our growing involvement in this program, we are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join our project delivery team on-site. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you'll play a central role in ensuring safe systems of work are embedded across all delivery phases. The role offers the chance to work on a large-scale public infrastructure project in a high-performing, multidisciplinary environment.


Key Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance on WHS legislation, obligations, and systems

Implement and support safety assurance processes across work fronts

Act as a key point of contact for project-level safety performance and compliance

Conduct audits, inspections, investigations, and risk assessments

Contribute to continuous improvement of HSE systems and culture

Work collaboratively with construction, engineering, and subcontractor teams

Participate in incident reviews, toolbox talks, and HSE reporting cycles

Support training, onboarding and safety induction processes for site staff


About You

You're a proactive, solutions-focused safety professional with a strong foundation in civil or infrastructure delivery. You understand the practical realities of complex construction sites and can engage confidently with a broad range of stakeholders—from frontline crews to senior project leaders. You must be flexible and willing to adhere to project roster requirements, which may include early starts, occasional weekends, or extended shifts depending on construction activities and site access. Your adaptability and reliability will be key to your success in this role.


Your Background

Cert IV or higher in Work Health & Safety

Minimum 5 years' experience in similar roles on major infrastructure projects

Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, codes, and ISO standards

Demonstrated experience implementing or maintaining Safety Management Systems

Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills

High attention to detail and strong organisational capability

Rail, road, or public transport project experience highly regarded

Construction White Card, RIW and valid driver's licence required
