About us
The core mission of Anglicare (NSW South, West & ACT) is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty for children, young people and families.
We mainly focus on serving vulnerable communities in the ACT and regional, rural NSW.
About the role
We seek a dedicated and experienced Permanent Coordinator to support a team of case workers, lead a team of youth workers, and collaborate with family members, foster carers, government departments, and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children being restored to their parents or returned to their kinship network.
This role reports to the Manager of PSP Foster and Kinship Care and can be located in either the Albury or Wagga Wagga office.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consultation on Permanency Planning for children and young people within the PSP Program
Undertake parenting capacity and risk assessments and make recommendations
Assist with finding a suitable family that can provide connection and relationship for children and young people
Convene and chair Family Led Decision Making meetings, Care Team meetings and other family meetings
Provide intensive, in-home support for families and children undergoing the process of restoration
About you
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience in complex family or carer assessments
Theoretical understanding and practice skills related to the needs of vulnerable children and families
Excellent verbal communication and written skills and ability to prepare high-quality reports
Well-developed computer literacy skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases
Experience in delivering Therapeutic Parenting Programs is desirable
