They operate 5 different branches nationally and with excellent results for selling high end construction equipment. With training and over 183 staff you're going to be working for one of the key leaders. They have driven results through one of the best Earthmoving products in Australia. They are seeking a highly experienced Service Manager that has run and technical earthmoving operation and understands the importance of customer service. POSITION
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the National Service Manager and regional aftersales management team to oversee the Melbourne, VIC operation.
* Lead a hands-on operation with attention to detail, setting an example for the team and driving performance against budgets.
* Grow and manage a developing team, maintain work ethic, and improve recruitment to attract quality staff.
* Balance new builds with oversight of existing projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
* Coordinate and oversee all deliveries and service backup support to customers, managing pressure and prioritizing customer satisfaction.
* Lead by example with a proactive leadership style; wear multiple hats as needed and motivate the team.
* Maintain a safe and healthy working environment in compliance with OH&S policies and regulations.
* Engage with customers daily on invoicing, payments, and issue resolution to strengthen relationships.
* Direct Supervisors and the Service team in equipment repairs and service delivery.
* Oversee workshop operations and collaborate with senior management to achieve objectives.
* Ensure workshop work adheres to job specifications and safety standards.
* Oversee schematics for new builds and communicate with internal departments on technical issues for customized equipment.
* Communicate effectively with OEMs regarding supply and logistics issues.
* Lead the existing field service team and support customers from the Melbourne operation in coordination with the Field Service Manager.
* Train and develop key staff on new equipment and upgrades; coordinate with internal engineering teams.
* Oversee overall operations to reduce issues and ensure timely completion of work with safety as a priority.
* Support remote service branches with direct management support.
* Understand retail service environment where time on build is essential and staying under cost is necessary.
* Demonstrate true leadership and operational management to build a cohesive team across departments that communicate effectively.
* Oversee the build of the following equipment: Wheel Loaders; Roller and compaction equipment; Articulated dump trucks; Rock breakers attachments; Shredders and grinders.
Job Requirements
* 5+ years as a Service Manager within the earthmoving industry.
* Experience working for a major earthmoving dealership or OEM within Australia.
* Cert 3 Heavy Plant Mechanic
* Leadership qualities
* Trade qualification as Fitter or Diesel Mechanic
Salary & Benefits
* Base Salary - $130,000
* Uncapped Commissions - $50,000
