Horizontal Directional Drillers & Vac Truck Operator
Nurich is a highly reputable and well-established Gold Coast–based company, and due to continued growth, we are expanding our workforce. We are currently seeking experienced team members for immediate starts, with opportunities available for local works across the Brisbane and Gold Coast regions
Roles will commence on a casual basis, with full-time contracts on offer after successful probation periods.
1) Horizontal Directional Driller
($120,000 - $150,000)
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Horizontal Directional Driller with strong knowledge of civil construction and HDD to join a supportive, safety-focused company.
Key responsibilities include:
* Read and interpret DBYD plans to locate and protect underground services
* Set up HDD worksites and plan bore paths
* Mix drilling mud to suit ground conditions
* Operate drills including rock motor / railhead
* Complete paperwork including pre-starts, bore logs, dig permits
* Safely excavate holes and install conduit to client requirements
* Coordinate with the crew and support safe delivery of works
2) Vac Truck Operators / Labourers (HR Licence)
(Rates dependent upon experience)
We are also seeking experienced Vac Truck Operators or Labourers with a current HR licence to join our crews for civil works. This role suits someone who is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced site environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Operating a vacuum truck for potholing, trenching support, and service locating
* Supporting HDD and civil crews on site as required
* Completing daily pre-starts and basic site paperwork
* Maintaining equipment and ensuring safe work practices at all times
Tickets & Training
Essential:
* Construction White Card
* Valid Heavy Vehicle licence
* Cert III in Trenchless Technology or RIINHB323D – Conduct Horizontal Directional Drilling (for HDD roles)
* Identify, Locate & Protect Services and Read & Interpret Plans (for HDD roles)
Desirable:
* Traffic Management
* Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
