Cobb Lane is an artisan bakery located in the popular village of Yarraville, with a vibrant storefront located at the South Melbourne Markets. Our reputation for delicious, hand-crafted, baked goods extends throughout Melbourne and beyond. We pride ourselves on our craftsmanship, specialising in slow ferment sourdoughs and viennoiserie, using the best ingredients available.
Cobb Lane is now recruiting for an experienced, front of house professional to join our South Melbourne Market team. The successful applicant will share our passion, enthusiasm and commitment to delivering one of Melbourne's best neighbourhood bakery experiences.
**What we are looking for**:
- An energetic and passionate professional with previous 2 years experience preferably
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
- A positive attitude with genuine customer focus and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and self-motivated individuals
- Enjoy working in a team and comfortable working solo too
- Strong food and beverage knowledge, and an interest in expanding your knowledge
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Genuine passion for delivering wonderful hospitality
**You would be responsible for**:
- Customer service - greet and welcome customers, share product knowledge and assist in offering recommendations
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally
- Operate the POS and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organised storefront
- Ensure product displays are visually appealing and well-stocked
- Always uphold food safety and sanitation standards
