With around 1,500 employees and retail and distribution branches across Australia, the business services clients in the manufacturing, mining, and construction sectors.As part of a global group, this is an opportunity to join a market leader with a strong presence across Australia and New Zealand.Role Overview: As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial and strategic outcomes across state operations and business lines, with a primary focus on the Sales and Operations teams.
This role partners closely with leadership teams to manage P&L; performance, deliver actionable insights through advanced analytics, and strengthen planning and forecasting frameworks.You will be instrumental in scenario planning, predictive modelling, and business case development to guide investment, portfolio optimisation and long-range growth.
With a strong focus on transformation and continuous improvement, you will enhance reporting systems (Power BI, TM1) and empower non-finance stakeholders to build commercial capability.Beyond analysis, we are looking for someone who will act as a trusted advisor and has proven experience in translating complex insights into clear, strategic recommendations and supporting the company's vision to accelerate business performance across the board.ResponsibilitiesPartner with leaders and state managers to deliver strategic and P&L; performanceBuild advanced reporting and analytics capability to provide actionable insightsLead budgeting and forecasting cycles and highlight key business impactsSupport strategy and transformation initiatives by solving challenges and driving execution plansProvide decision support through scenario modelling, business cases, and long-range planningEnhance reporting systems (PowerBI, TM1) and streamline processes for accuracy and efficiencyEmpower and upskill non-finance stakeholders to drive commercial ownership across the businessCandidate ProfileWe are looking for someone who will thrive in this fast-paced, high-impact role:Commercially minded with strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex data into actionable insightsSkilled at combining numbers with strategy to influence decision-making across the businessAdvanced Excel modelling experience, with exposure to tools like Power BI and TM1 highly regardedA natural business partner who can build trust and communicate clearly with finance and non-finance teamsSelf-motivated, adaptable and hands-on, with the drive to deliver results in a changing environmentPassionate about improving processes and using data to drive performance and business growthCulture & BenefitsJoin a collaborative, supportive team where curiosity, innovation and continuous improvement are encouraged.
