About The Role
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will concentrate on the technical capabilities of the ServiceNow platform, delivering secure, scalable solutions that enhance business operations and service delivery. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle and collaborate with stakeholders to optimise performance, reliability, and compliance.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification
* Demonstrated strong hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer, delivering configuration and custom development within enterprise ServiceNow environments
* Proven experience across the full ServiceNow development lifecycle, including: Requirements refinement, Solution design, Build, Testing, Deployment, Post-implementation support
* Strong ServiceNow scripting and development skills, including: JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer
* Demonstrated experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using: REST APIs, Web services, Authentication mechanisms
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement sustainable solutions
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, manage competing priorities, and meet delivery timeframes in a fast-paced environment
* Experience working in environments with strong governance, change management, and security requirements
Desirable Skills and Experience
* ServiceNow Product Certifications in one or more of the following: IT Service Management (ITSM), Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), Customer Service Management (CSM)
* Experience delivering solutions across ITSM, HRSD and/or CSM within medium to large organisations
* Experience supporting platform maintenance activities, including: Upgrades, Patching, Defect resolution, Monitoring, Performance optimisation
* Familiarity with ITIL or service management frameworks and their practical application within ServiceNow
* Experience working within Australian Government, regulated, or security-sensitive ICT environments
* Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments
