May Shaw Health Centre Inc. is an incorporated not for profit aged care organisation operating in a multi-facility setting at Swansea (May Shaw) on Tasmania's east coast and Scottsdale (Aminya) in the State's northeast. Aminya incorporates a 61 bed Residential Aged Care Facility and delivers a range of Community Home Care packages and services in the region.

This transformation creates an outstanding career opportunity for an experienced and visionary Director of Facilities to join their leadership team.
The Role and the Person
In a complex aged care environment, this role plays a critical role in supporting operations and advising the Chief Executive Officer of any current and emerging trends which may impact the delivery of care to its residents and families.
They will be a strong but empathetic leader who can shape a diverse a multi-skilled workforce of people, proud of their connection to Amiya, and lead and support change management initiatives to ensure contemporary workforce management strategies can be implemented operationally.
Whilst prior clinical experience would be beneficial, past senior leadership roles in a health or community services delivery, in operational management, or facility and asset functions may also align to the key responsibilities of the role. Key to their success, will be the applicants' strengths around sound people management practices and ensuring operational cohesiveness across the facility, from the clinical and care teams to hospitality services.
The Director of Facilities will work with others on the Leadership Team to ensure sustainable outcomes to:
* Clinical Care delivery
* Workforce management, engagement and retention initiatives
* Legislation and compliance under the Age Care Standards
* Asset and infrastructure budgets and controls
* Occupancy management and metrics
* Commitment to safety of residents, employees and external stakeholders
